At Foxclever Computing we have been producing quality business database software, using FoxPro, for more than 20 years. We bring a professional and dedicated approach to any project we undertake.
Support & Development of FoxPro Applications
We provide support for existing systems programmed using earlier versions of FoxPro - from version 2.0 for DOS through to version 2.6 for Windows and all versions of Visual FoxPro.
We can look after your FoxPro systems; problem solving, tweaks, programming changes and new development.
Update or Rewrite Existing FoxPro Systems
Do you have an existing FoxPro system? We have many years of experience in upgrading and rewriting systems in earlier versions of FoxPro (DOS, Windows, earlier versions of Visual), using the latest Visual FoxPro version. You can be confident of our honest and best advise. Rewriting in Visual FoxPro allows you to keep the value contained in the business logic and coded processes stored in your existing FoxPro applications while at the same time moving to the latest version of Visual FoxPro.
FoxPro System Migration
Many applications have been developed using FoxPro or Visual FoxPro and have run successfully for many years, but with Microsoft's support for FoxPro coming to an end, you may feel that it is now time to migrate these applications to new platforms. It is worth knowing that Visual Foxpro (v9) applications do run in Windows 7, 8 and 10 (including 64 bit versions) so there are many years of productive, usable life left in your Visual Foxpro application.
We can also advise on and develop data migration strategies and routines to move your existing system's data to new platforms as necessary.
Providing Support & Development
We provide most support work remotely by connecting to one of your computers via the Internet. This gives you much quicker support when you need it most and is much less expensive, compared to travelling to your offices.
Development is typically done at our offices, but of course we recognize that it is sometimes desirable to spend time on-site and there can be great value in doing so.
Support and development is much easier or perhaps only possible when the "source code" of the application is available - these are the program files that make up the application (e.g. files like .PRG, .SCX, .VCX). Often FoxPro applications are made into EXE files and if the source code is no longer available, we can usually de-compile the EXE to recreate the source code - as long as intellectual property rights are respected.
